DISTRICT NEWS.
KENT ROAD. (From Our Own Correspondent). A meeting of householders of the Upper Kent Road was held in the Upper School on Friday night for the purpose of electing the new committee (to be called the Korito School Committee I, and also to define the boundaries. M.'. A Morton presided. In answer to a question, he said the Board was talcing no notice of the allegations m the petition, and that the committee to lie elected that night would not come into power until January Ist, 1000 unless the present committee was willing to let them sever. The chairman of Lie Kent School Committee at this said that they did not intend giving up office, because they had been elected by the householders. The committee by name, but without power, was then elected as follows :-Mrs. Molloy, Messrs. E. Keast, Warren, Williams, Burkit, Miles, and M. Molloy.
