A ring upon liis linger caught on one of the .hooks attaciied to the belting and lie was carried up to the ceiling. His hand was badly damaged, and on being taken to the hospital one linger had to Uj amputated. AN UMFLNISiiED OPERATION. Palmerston N. -Last Night. Willis Wilson, from Ohakune, attempted to cut his throat in a paddock' on the Foxton line to-day. The knife broke before the operation was satisfactorily completed, and Wilson walked into town to a doctor.
