TIAIUKH CUXXIiNU OUT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Wight. ISuvcrul well-known .Northern timber millers interviewed the Prune Minister unci the Hon. K. McNab (Minister for Lands) to-day to ask wliat were the (jovernment's intentions in regard to certain of its forests. Xhey pointed out that unless fresh reserves were opened for milling at an early dnle, several Auckland mills would have to close down, one or two being already on the point of stopping. Xhey asked if the tlovcrninent would definitely state its policy in regard to timber reserves. The Minister promised to secure reports and make an early announcement as to the Government's policy in regard to the matter and in particular those reserves mentioned by the deputation.
