KIiGISTKATiOX AND i'RIZE TESTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston Xorth, Saturday. A meeting of the New Zealand Jersey Cnlltle Breeders' Association was held this morning. There were present representatives ironi the W'airarapa a.'el loeal districts. A resolution of particular importance to .Jersey breeders was passed as follows:—"That a register 1 e kept in a herd book of all purr reentered Jersey cows capable of showi.ig not less than 121b of bmUcr-fat or making not less than' 141b of butter p.'r week, ami under the following conditions: —Public tests to be undrrUk'n by the Agricultural and Pastoral Associations, supervised by the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture, such to be mft less than four days and on the system adopted by the Jlanawai.u A. and i\ Association. Results shall be averaged for fully seven days o» the basis of such test." It was resolved that the "Association should oiler prizes of £5 and a goal medal for the registered dairy cow of ,C 5 for the cow by a registered dairy bull giving the l>est results under the conditions prescribed l>y the Council for butter-fat tests conducted under the direction of any A. and A. Association.'
