This does not apply to the mail service between German New Guinea ami Australia. In other /words;, the colony is dependent upon the ports near at hand, especially Sydney, for those products which would deteriorate or ha too expensive in transit from Germany, such as corn, vegetables, flour, live cattle, meat, fish, wood for building, and salt.
