INDIAN DISAFFECTION.
SEDITIONISTJ3 SENTENCED. Calcutta, July 23. The jury by a majority of seven to two found the Nationalist leader Tilak guilty of sedition. He was sentenced to six years' transportation and fined a thousand rupees. The trial lasted eight days, Tilak's address occupying six. Judge Devnr stated that Tilak's articles seethed with sedition, preached violence, approved murders and »p----proved the employment of bombs.
