A TRAGIC SUICIDE.
MAN JUMPS INTO WELLINGTON IIAISBOK. WIFE AltiilVES TOu LATE. By Telegraph— Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A laboring man named John William Walsh, aged about 38, committed suicide in the harbor this evening by jumping oil' the outer tec of yuccn's Wlinrf. The act was very deliberate, the man stripping oil' all his clothes, and leaving them on the wharf under a couple of bricks. He was seen'to jump in by a stevedore working on the forehatch of the steamer Victoria. The body was soon recovered, but life was extinct. While the police were applying artificial respiration, the nian't* wife arrived, Inning discovered a note in the bedroom saying that his clothes would be found on the wharf.
