ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
SHOCKING KAILH'AY NATALITY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. AsUburton, Lust Night. A shocking accident occurred on the mid-day express from (Jhristchurch, by hy which a passenger, a young woman, name unknown, and aged about 'Ai, was cut' to pieces, it seems she was siill'ering from illness, and went on to the carriage platform, from which she fell apparently in a faint. Several carriages passed over her, and on the train being stopped life was found to be extinctj and the body fearfully mangled. A\ railway ticket found wheve she fell was by Orari. The body lias been taken on bo Timarit. The girl was a little over live feet in height.
