The chairman, in moving the iidoptior Of the report and balance-sheet, euliB»ed lie work of the .secretary, Mr. J, V\ hitaker, who had thrown himself heart and soul into the work, it was larireiv to him that the Association hail readied lis present position. That (lav he had canvassed the merchants of the town, with the result that most of them had become members of the Association. Ihe work done by the Association could best lie realised by looking bevond the borders of the town, for it wa's a colonial work. The employers had been toj long content to s it quietly by whilst the employees got what legislation they wanted—legislation that was damning the prospects of the Dominion, lie referred to the part played by the Assoeiation and the Federation in settling the recent drivers' dispute in New Plymouth, saving the employers a good deal of money. The report and balance-sheet were adopted.

King (saddlers), Stewart (tailors), G. | Coleman (builders), 11. Jones (cab proprietors). A. E. Sykes (chemists), 0. W Role (butchers), T. Avery (printers), H. Evans (bootmakers), Fred. Bcllringer (painters), F. W. Okey (engineers), M. Fraser (wholesale merchants). Tt was decided fo adopt, f.lm recommendation of the executive to accept the laranaki Dairy Factories Association as a member of the Association and to give them a representative on the executive THE HARBOR BILL.
Upon I lie motion of Messrs. Goodaero Anilmry, a resolution was carried ill support of tlie New.Plymouth Harbor Empowering Kill.
MR. PRYOR. llr. AV. Pryor, secretary of tlie Kmplovers' Federation, addressed the meet-
