j CONFEIUiXCE INAUGURATE". London, July 17. The Wesleyun Conference has been inaugurated at York. The president, Rev. John Scott Lidgott, JI.A., in inaugurating the Conference, urged the church to realise the spiritual significance of world-wide federation. He rejoiced that the Licensing Bill embodied all the previous conference's demands. He believed good sense and good will were able to set-, tie the education controversy.
