ARBITRATION COURT.
By Telegraph.—Press Association, Christchuicii, Last Night. Tho Arbitration Court concluded its sittings in this city this afternoon. 'Tomorrow the Court sits at Ashburton to hear the timber yard employees' dispute and enforcement cases. It will then sit at 'Timaru and deal with 1 enforce-, meat and compensation cases. At the Arbitration Court this morning the President (.Mr. Justice Sim) delivered the judgment in the compensation case, Collins and Andrews, the judgment, after setting forth the facts of the case, which were briefly tilwl claimant, a quarry-worker, employed by P. Andrews, had,' whilst loading a dray on January lltli, 1008, twisted his right leg at, the knee necessitating amputation, and after setting out the medical evidence, stated that the slight accident of wlliich details were given by claimant had lighted up the old trouble or materially accelerated its development. The claimant had therefore failed to establish his ease. Respondent was allowed £lO 10s costs and witnesses' disbursements to be fixed by the Clerk of Aawards.
