AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. Received July 14, DM p.m. Sydney, July 14. . In the semi-final rounds for the amateur golf championship, Pearce beat Scott, six up, five to play. Christie beat Bidwell, four up, three to play. I'earce's play was brilliant, this form characterising him throughout the carnival. U<! led four-up on the morning round. Scott's form was off compared with yesterday. His driving was erratic and attended with considerable ill-luck. The BidwillChristoe match was well contested from start to finish. The New Zealauder led in the morning round, but went off somewhat in the afternoon, enabling Christoe to forge ahead. The final will be played on Saturday.
