WELLINGTON CONTESTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Boxing contests were held by the Wellington Boxing Association to-nignt in the Opera House, which was crowded. The amateur events resulted as follows: Bantam: F. Kerr (Bst 2>/ 4 lb) defeated G. Salway (is )2'/Jb), after an hour and two minutes' rounds. Welter—O. Parrv (lOst 4%1b) defeated O. Dooghue (ll)st 5141b).
SOUTHERN CARNIVAL. Auckland, Last Night. At the Northern Boxing Association's carnival to-night, Traccy defeated Ross for the New Zealand light-weight championship in seven and a-half rounds. Traeey bad Ross' measure in the second round", but the latter showed gametics* and took a lot of punishment. Mcnzies (a new bantam weight) defeated the Auckland amateur bantam champion, Montague, in one and a-half rounds.
