Bryan as the choice of militant democracy, the Convention cheered with the wildest enthusiasm. Innumerable flags were waved, a white dove being released from above the platform, anil a great portrait of Sir. Bryan lowered from the roof amidst fresh cheering. Banners were grouped around. Bryan's party platform, which was unanimously adopted, includes a tarill plank demanding the immediate revision and reduction of import duties and the gradual restoration of the tariff on a revenue basis. It declares that articles competing with trust-controlled products should forthwith be placed on the free list; the duties 011 the necessities of life should be materially reduced, especially articles competing with American manufactures I which are sold draper abroad than at home.

Mr. Kern, an Indianapolis lawyer, was nominated by acclamation for the VicePresidency.
