I Sir Felix Schuster (the celebrated bank er, Mr. John St. Loe Slrac.'iey (editor of the Spectator), Professor Dicey, Sir John Murray, and others, in | a letter to the newspapers, urge the postponement of the. Old Age Pensions Bill until the Royal Commission on Poor Law has reported. T'hey declare the Bill alters the position of friendly societies, discourages thrift, and introduces a new system of outdoor relief, thereby threatening to revive the evils partially removed by law reforms o'f 1834.
