MOTOR RELIABILITY TESTS
SUCCESS OF SMALLER CAES. Received 30th, 12,47 a.m. London, June 29. The Royal Automobile Club's international touring car reliability trials involved 1810 miles of road work and hill climbs in Scotland and England, and terminated at Brooklands. Prominent cars, such as the De Dion, Cardillac, Talbot, Singer, Rolls, Boyce, and Arials, performed up to expectations, notably as regards endurance, and small cars withstood the searching ordeal and proved an unexpected success. Few were aware of their swiftness and soundness. Adlfy and Zed els, Kidneys, and Vauxhall achieved unquestioned victory. No loss of time was debited, apart from replenishing petrol; there was no tyre trouble, and no additional lubricant or water required. The Cadillac also stood the test of standardisation.
