WATJ4KBIDE WORKERS' CONFERENCE. Wellington, Last Night. The federated waterside workers will meet in conference to-morrow to discuss matters affecting tlieir interests. Among the questions to be dealt with will be to urge upon the Government the need for securing insurance against sickness or death from causes other than those provided for under the Workers' Compensation Act, representation of waterside workers on Harbor Boards, the provision of baths and lockers by Harbor Boards for the use. of waterside workers, a statutory half-holiday for waterside workers, the amendment to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act as brought down by the Hon. J. A. Millar last year, also various amendments to the Arbitration Act as it stands at present.
AUCKLAND TRAMWAYS INQUIRY. Wellington, Last Night, Dr. McArt'linr, who has been appointed chairman of the special Board set up in connection with the differences between the Auckland Electric Tramways Co. and its employees will leave for Auckland to-morrow morniii".
