STOCK DROVER KILLED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Rotorua, Last .Night. Henry Oldlicld, aged 21, employed by tlie Kotorua Meat Co., while driving bullocks this morning, met with a fatal accident. A bullock and the hrose Oldiield was riding l'ell into a ravine, a wash-out caused by the rain. Oldfielil was removed to tlio accident ward of the Sanatorium, much bruised, and suffering from internal injuries, ft was found necessary to perform an 'Operation, but he died a few hours after. Tlie horse Oldlicld was riding was killed.

KILLED BY PILLS. Gore, Monday. A boy between four and five years old, son of Mr. Edward Byron, of Mataura, climbed to a mantlepiece and swallowed some iron pills which he found there, lie died despite the efforts of a doctor to save him.
