HELPING BRITISH INDUSTRIES. London, June 25. German trade continues to dccreatfl in consequence of the British Patent Law, which deprives manufacturers of their patents in Britain, unless the goods to which the inventions apply are manufactured in this country. Many firms are urging the Berlin merchants to adopt steps to counteract the serious losses in the export trade. Sir Alfred Jones estimates that the Act has resulted in the investment in Britain of many millions sterling for the manufacture of articles previously made abroad.
