AUSTRALIANS HONORED. Received June 27, 12.5 a.m. London, June 20. In the list of Birthday honors this following appear amoiig those who have been raised to the Peerage:-—. They include Mr. Alfred Emmott, M.P., and Mr, Thomas Palinei* Whittaker.

Eleven Baronets have been created, They include Mr. Hudson Kearley, M.P., Sir Francis Locse, Mr. Robert William Perks, M.P., Mr. Francis Layland-Bar-ratt, M.P., Mr. John Herbert Roberts, M.P., and Mr. Robertson, the South African mine-owner. Among the twenty-five Knights created are Mr. Buying, editor of the Contemporary Review, and Colonel David Bruce, investigator of sleeping sickness, Knights of St. Michael have been conferred Oil Mr. Cooper, Chief Justice of Queensland, Mr. Thomas Bent, Premier of Victoria, i\nd Mr. Carruthers, lata Premier of New South Wales. Companion of St. Michael—Jlr. Moore, Premier of Western Australia. Knights Bachelor—Mr. Parker, Chief Justice of Western Australia; Mr. Weedon, Mayor of Melbourne; and Mr. John Hay, of New South Wales. The Order of Merit lias been conferred on Henry Jackson, Regius Professor of Creek at Cambridge University.
