The Anglo-Saxon Club entertained Mr Carruthers and Mr. Justice Davies, oi Victoria. -Mr, Carruthers said Australia was destined to become a great nation. He referred to the neighboring nations emerging from their long slumber. Perhaps Australia would have to pay the penalty for mistakes made in the past. Personally, he did not think it would be a bad day for Australia when its manhood was put to the test.
