IOUST DAY. liy Telegraph.—Press Association. Tahnerston X., Last Xight The Niitioii-.il Dairy .Show was openM to-day by tile Governor. The weather was lino anil the attendance large. The show is in many respects the finest winter event held by tint Association, entries being good throughout. A mie exhibit from the Agricultural Department also adds to tile success. Ur J. JSalsillic won the Uxford Shield for the best collection of farm roots. F. W. Mayo won the English llorticul-' turn 1 .Society's medal for the best collection of apples. Experts from Australia speak higliiy of .the butter and cheese exhibits, particularly, and the show generally. The machinery exhibition is the lincst I yet seen here, and has caused much c'Oui meiit among visitors.
