THEATRE LAUIMKINS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Oamiiru, Last Night. Mr. Hutchinson, S.M., fined two defendants 40s and costs for rowdyism in the pit during the performance of "The Prince Chap." The Magistrate remarked that the offence was one common to all centres in the Dominion, and peculiar to New Zealand.
MUNICIPAL SUGGESTION. Wanganui, Last Night. At a meeting of the Borough Couneilj this evening, the Mayor moved that t'"* following remit be forwarded to t;ie municipal conference: "That in the opinion of this Council municipalities .should be granted such an extension of their powers as would enable them to supply the necessaries of life to citizens at the cheapest possible rate." The m otion was seconded pro forma and lost, fh..Mavoi- alone voting for it. Councillors refused to treat the matter seriously.

Inspector Cullen received a telegram to-day from Constable. McCarthy, of Kawliia,' staling that word had been received there that Leproa's boardinghouSe of six rooms at Terauamo;, had been destroyed by lire this morning.
