MOKAU TO BE BRIDGED. Many travellers over the main -road between ,4'e Kuiti and Waitarn will be pleased to know that the Government, has determined to erect a bridge overthe Mokau, the Hon. J. Extensive settlement in .South Auckland ami Northern TaranakJ makes it necessary that the old ferry service should give way to something better as the number of passengers and stock that cross the ferry lias increased enormously (luring thc.s pns t three years, last year over 25,000 head of, stock crossed the river.
