THE MOKOLVS TRIP. MAN LOST OVERBOARD AND RESCUED. LIFE EXTINCT. Received 14th, 4.10 p.m. Sydney, June 14. The Mokoia had a lengthy passage across the Tasnian. It was due to heavy westerly weather. On the second day out, a most sensational incident occurred. A steerage passenger named Conway was seen to feo overboard. A boat was immediately lowered, and the vessel hove to for three hours while a search was being made. The man was eventually found, but on reaching the vessel life was found to be extinct. The body was buried nent morning.
