WELLINGTON SESSIONS. Tor Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day, Jsimc* Nieholls,' a quarryman, sued flic City Council for damages for injuries in a tram accident. It was alleged that owing to the negligence of the Corpora tion's employees iu permitting the cur to be overcrowded and the motorman suddenly and negligently turning on I'no full motive power and causing the fir to voluntarily and suddenly jerk, plaintiff was thrown from the tram and injured. He suffered further injury after being thrown out by reason of the Corporation's employees not promptly stopping the car. The jury returned a vjrdiet for the City Council, and judgment was entered accordingly with costs.
