London, June 2. Air. Joseph Chamberlain is apparently in good health though he can only walk with pain. He has left Cannes for Aix les Buins. PROPOSED RAILWAY COMBINE. London, June 2. According to the Daily Express, the Midland Railway may join the three others in the proposed working arrangehnent to stop the present ruinous competition. The combination would then represent £253,000,000.
TRAIN HELD UP. New York, June 2. Three marked boys stopped and robbed a train in the State of Montana. Hundreds of passengers were thrown into a state of panic. A rancher who attempted to escape was shot by the boys. The robbers were arrested later.
