The Taranaki Guards had st moderate liUciidance on parade last night. Usefull instruction was given by Staff-Major Sanderson. Kxaniination rjf officers will he held I to-dav at the Drill Hill, commencing at !1 o'clock. The following team has lu-cji picked (o represent the Taranaki (Juards in a match against the Kiiitnkc Kille Club on Thursday:—Capt. .Mills, Scrgt. Arnold, | Corp. I.obb, I'rivatcs Blunt-hard, Hill, | tirav, King, and Nichols. Brake will I leuve town at 1 o'clock. The Cuards will hold their annual social on Thursday week. Suh-comniitlecs have, been appointed, and the funetioi I (ir'niii-.'s to he a great success. I'rivati 1 Dryland has been appointed secretary.
