For a forgery committed at Napier an elderly man named John Simpson, alias MiCnoinhe, was sentenced to-day by Mr. Justice Chapman to three years' imprisonment and declared to be a' habitual criminal. A native youth named Kuakawa lluru, was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment, Wellington, Last Night, At the Supreme Court to-day, John Ifogan, who was tried On a charge, of indecent assault, when the jury failed to agree, was re-tried and ' acquitted, liimiero Te Man was sentenced to two years' imprisonment for forgery.
