A SENSIBLE PROVISO.
Auckland, Last Night. The Arbitration Court has introduced in its recent award respecting the dispute between the fiishorne waterside workers and their employers, the following proviso to deal with strikers:— "The union shall do all in its power to prevent any strike by any of the workaffected by the award, ami if any strike shall occur in which any members of this union shall take part, such strike shall be prima facie evidence that the union has committed a breach of its duty hereunder. The Court reserves full power in the event of any such strike occurring to suspend, on "the application of any of the employers, the operation of ail or any provisions of this award for such period as the Court shall think proper."
