Mr. Priekitt, the American (oii-ul. received a cable to-day from Admiral Sperry, commander of tin; American fleet, with reference to the visit to Auckland. The Admiral stated that there would be 10 battleships, and lie desired particulars o:' tho anchorage availahlo in the luirbor. Mr. Priekitt has communicated with the Prime Minister, and (he chairman of the AiicKland Harbor Board for ollU'hil information.
Captain Duder, harbormaster, states that there will not be tho slightest difficulty in accommodating the vessels, •'A fleet of 60 or 70 vessels could anchor hero without interfering with our shipping," hp says.
