Wellington, Lust Night. Another round in the protracted contest about the Wellington patent slip was fought yesterday afternoon. After the close of the hist conference it was understood that tho Union Co. would be agreeable to surrender its interests to the Board at a figure not greatly above the price which the company paid for its shares, provided it could secure sufficient ground and other facilities for the expansion of its business. Tho Union Co. hopes to get territory where it may establish repairing shops and conveniences loi the handling of coal in large (juantiI'es, an up-to-date laundry, and other tilings required in connection with its rapidly-expanding business.
