Shooting for the Daih; Mail Empire Challenge Cup took place yesterday, the weather was cold and bleak, making matter,, very unpleasant for competitors. Thirty-live members of the Otago Kille Association lived, and the eight highest scores were -- Gunner Keeiian (Port Chalmers Navals), [Hi; Private Longworth (North Dunedin Killes), ilj; Captain Searle (Railway Pioneers), 05; Private Crimp (Green Island), 02; Sergeant W. Crimp (C.reen Island), 02; Sergeant W. Crimp (Green Island), 02; Sergeant Morrison (Dunedin Navals), 01; Captain .Marshall (YUikari Killes), Hi-total, 741. The competition for Lieut.-Colonel Slumjiher's trophy, valued at 101) guineas, k-ll through owing to an insufficient number of men putting in an appearance.
Napier. Last Xight. Firing in connection with the Daily Mail Empire Cup took place on Saturday, when members of tile" Napier Cuards, Napier Killes, lianfurlv Rillcs, Hastings Rifles, and Taradale and Maraekakaho Rifle Clubs took part, 'there was a strong wind with a bright light, and the scores were not out, of the ordinary.
