A meeting of the Tarauaki .Metro- i politau committee was held on Monday night. Mr. K Watson (chairman) pre-' sided, and there were also present ' Messrs. Blundell. ClilV. Kllfe, Lcppcr, ■Standish, Wcton. and Webster. It was resolved that the undermentioned names be |ila-ed on the unpaid forfeit list:—l!. Smith, Xavier, £2; J. j Lynch. Kuscshool, £3. On the recommendation of the subcommittee a jockey's license was grantid to Wiivniu ltoot, an apprentice io Te llikaka.
An application for the registration nf a club tu be known as the Okaiawa ltacing Club was received and sent back, as it was not in accordance with the rul<V of racing. Tlie trainer's license of C. Milieu, Kornianby, was cancelled.
