AUCKLAND SESSIONS. Per Props Association. Auckland, Tuesday. Tile following prisoners, sent up iron, the bower Court, were sentenced by Sir. Justic-e Edwards:--Henry (Inlliths, forgcrv, admitted to probation for two years;' Joseph Ocddis, assault and causing bodily luiviii at (lisborne, three years 'imprisonment; Cieo. Kelly and William McUibbons, breaking ami entering at Cambridge, two years' each; Leonard Cosgrove, a Maori youth, •breaking anil entering, one year: Nepie Jones liana, another .Maori, committed from (lisborne for forgery, admitted to probation for two years on paying costs and refunding money stolen; Edward Walsh, forgery and uttering at Hamilton, two years'; liatu llohoia, perjury at Kaeo, two years'; Xgawati Slade, a young Maori, forgery a|nd uttering,, twelve months'; Joseph Caltaux.charged with assault and causing acUal bouily harm at Cishorno, was recommended probation, but the Judge was not prepared to accept the recommendation, regarding the seriousness of assault; he remanded the accused for a week. Thos. Fitzgerald, charged with arson, appeared in Court as if in a lit, in which state he had been for a considerable time. He was remanded till next session.' Karl llillstrom received three years' for theft of money entrusted to him to buy provisions for a sports meeting. Auckland, Last Night.
Keginald Brooking Tattoo, a youn-i farmer, was charged with assaulting one Alexander Livingston and causing actual bodily harm at Wllatawhata. The jury returned a verdict of nol guilty, and accused was discharged,
ciiiiisTi-nniCH sessions. Christ church, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day, Thos. Sutherland was acquitted on a charge of stealing a purse containing £8 10s from a dwellinglmuse at Winslow. John McClusky was convicted of rape, sentence being deferred till to-morrow. The cargo-broaching cases on the Papauui in January last are now being heard. •WELLINGTON SESSIONS. Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme. Court to-day, Tims. Prisk and Charles l'risk were convicted of breaking and entering at Dannevirke. They were remanded for sentence. William Cameron. i>lias Howard, for breaking ami cii---'iiiiv a shop at Masterton and stealing jewellery therefrom, was sentenced to four years' with hard labor.
