NEW PARLIAMENT HOUSE.
TO BE KE-EBECTED ON OLD SITE. THE AMBITIOUS SCHEME AIiANDONED. CABINET'S DECISION. (By Telegraph,—Special to ''News"). Wellington, Saturday Night. The Government has decided to erect new Legislative Chambers and Parliamentary offices on the site of the building recently destroyed by fire. It is understood that the work will be commenced at an early date. The proposals for the erection of a I costly edilice have been abandoned. The buildings will not be on an ambitious scale.
