W. , Davis, land transfer draughtsman and surveyor. Auckland. to be chief draughtsman in the District Lands Office, Wellington, vice Air. Llewylleu Smith, retired; Air. (!. K. AleClure, distriet surveyor, Tiinnrii, to be chief draughtsman at Christchureh, vice Mr. C. B. Shanks, retired; Mr. J. E-. Vaile, assistant land transfer draughtsman and surveyor, Auckland, to he land transfer draughtsman in the same office in succession to Mr J- W. Davis (transferred). Owing to the retirement of Jfv. G. A. lteadc, receiver of land revenue at Dunedin, Air 11. L. Welch, of the Invcrcargill olliee, was promoted to Duiicdin, but the ill-health of his wife has necessitated Air Welch's refusal of the transfer. The vacancy has therefore to be filled. The successors to Hangers AleKenzie (Queeustown) and Campbell (luvei'cargill), who have retired, are still to be appointed. =====
