At u meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Hockey Association tonight, a challenge was received from the Poverty Bay Association for "the championship shield, making six «hftlleuges received altogether. It was decided that Taranaki should play Auckland on July 4th, and that the winner should play Canterbury on July 11th. A letter was received from the English Association relative to the sending of a representative team to New Zealand next year. The question of finance was discussed, and it was decided to refer the matter to a suo-committee for report.
