HUSBAND ARRESTED. Per Press Association. Duuediu, Last Night. Cornish, hotelkeepcr at Sterling, has been arrested oil a warrant in connection (villi the death of his wile, ivlio was found dead iu a passage 0 f the hotel last week. HUSBAND CHAKUHD WITH MANSLAUGHTER. I'RESH EVIDENCE TO HE ADDUCED. Duuediu, Last Night. Since the inquest on the body of Mr, I Ornish, wife of the licensee of "the Stiruig Hotel, a week ago, the police have been -busy making inquiries, and this afternoon liichard Cornish, husband of deceased, was arrested in Duuediu on a eluirge ol manslaughter. The information, sets out that "Richard Cornish, of Stirling, publican, did <m Jst May, I'KM, unlawfully kill aiii slay one Catherine Elizabeth Cornish, his wife." Accused will ,Ik' brought before the toiirt here to-morrow morning, and remanded to Balclutha, in the neighborhood ol which most of the witnesses resale. The next silting of the Court at i.alclntha is lixed for 20th instant. It is understood that some evidence which iwas not brought out at the inquest will he adduced at the Magisterial inquiry.
