Investigations have that Turley fell from a trap. The jury returned a verdict that tlie deceased j met his death through injuries received by a fall from a trap while in a state of intoxication.

EMACIATED MAN RFJfUSED ACCOMMODATION. Auckland, Last Night. _ At the inquest to-day on the death of William Amos, a Wellington resident, who died suddenly ill Queen street yesterday, evidence was given that deceased had endeavored to obtain accommodation at various hotels iu Onehunga and city, but was refused in every ease on account of his emaciated appearance. The jury, in returning a verdict oi death from natural causes, added a rider that the authorities be requested to take action against those hotelkcepers who had refused for insufficient reasons to accommodate deceased.

A BODY RECOVERED. Wanganui, Last Night. The body of Matthew Connor, a wellknown settler, who was drowned in the river seventeen miles above Wangamu on October 10th, 11)07, was found flouting opposite Castlccliff yesterday. At the inquest to-dtty, a verdict of accidental death was returned.
