OMATA ROAD BOARD.

At the monthly meeting of the Oniata Road Board on Saturday, there were present:—Messrs. A. Ceorge (in 1 lie chair), E. K. liaylev, and 15. O'Dowda. ilr. George reported tlmt he had lieen instructed by the County Council to repair all damage done by carting metal over the Beach road.

Mr. Bayley moved, ami Mr. O'Dowda seconded, "That tlie Hoard place on) record its heartiest thanks and appreciation for the useful services rendered by Mr. Alf. (Jcorge, who had occupied (he Board's chair with so much ability and for a continuous period of nineteen years, and the Board's regret that 'he does not seek re-election." Accounts for £2 17s were passed for payment.
