WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.

At the monthly meeting of the above Board there were present:—-Messrs Conlieit, Smith, Turnbull, Western, ami Yule. Mr. Turnhull was elected chairman lor the on->uing year. Mr. Connett reported that it had been ascertained that the Corhett Road extended for about seven chain* beyond the railway crossing, and it was resolved that the division between tbe Egmont Road district and Waitara West- be at a point 11% chains from the southern fence of the railway line crossing.

Surfaceman Paul reported that In 4 had been engaged during the p:H month in recoating portion of Te Arei, Brown, Richmond, and Aekworth Road-., and the metal on hill by bridge on Richmond it)ad required re-coating. The latter was authorised.

Surfaceman Palmer reported that the worst, places on the upper end of N«»?k and Te And Roads had l»-en repaired. Expenditure: Roads and bridges £sll, engineer's charges £ls), grant to Moa Road Board for Everett Road £ls, salary i £27, legal charges £O, advertising and I stationery £ls, leaving an unexpended balance of £340.

The surfaeemen were directed to grub furze on a piece of land at the junction of To Arei and Waitara Roada.

Accounts for £95 wen* passed foi payment, and the Board rose.
