The injured man Muir arrived bv the 9.55 a.m. train from Cliristciiurch to attend the CoiU't, and his arrival caused quite a stir, a considerable ' number of people following him along the street. He appeared to be still suffering from the effects of his wounds, and iiad to sit in Court while giving evidence. A considerable quantity _of ■evidence relating to the alleged crime was heard, and Hall was committed for trial at the next criminal sessions.
