In the House of Commons, Mr. Johnston's resolution urging the Government ta take steps to speedily terminate the license of opium dens in Crown colonies, wag accepted by the Government and Hraartimously agreed to. Sir E, Grey emphasised the remarkable results of the right kind achieved in China in a short time.
