ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
DEATH FROM ALLEGED NEGLECT. Per Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. An inquest opened yesterday on the body of the three months old' child of Edward and Amelia Peach showed that the infant was put to lied in a go-cart at 11 p.m. and was found dead at 8.40 next morning. The medical evidence indicated that the child had been neglected. The inquest was adjourned till Friday. SUDDEN DEATH AT SEA. Giaborne, Thursday. Advice has been received of the death of Ralph St. Leger, a local sheep farmer, who left here on March 18th on a visit to Engand, and is reported to have died suddenly on April 12.
A FISHERMAN DROWNED Wellington, Thursday. Antonio, an Italian fisherman, was drowned at Terawhiti yesterday. He was assisting to lift some nets into a boat when the boat struck a rock and Antonio was thrown into the water and drowned. His companion swam ashore.
