The Times, commenting on the work of Mr. Mackennal, the Australian sculptor, in the figure of Diana, says: "Bo exquisitely is it produced that the marble makes one of the most beautiful nudes the English school has produced. A COSTLY LAWSUIT.
London, May After a hearing lasting 33 days and involving legal expenses amounting to ■£70,000, the King's Bench awarded (Messrs Isidore, Wyler, and Ibo and the Nyassaland Corporation £62,472 damages against Lewis and Marks and other members of the Corporation (except Sir Robert Edgecumbc for alleged conspiracy, causing the loss of concessions estimated to be worth £260,000. Mr. Weatherly, another member of the Corporation, was earlier dismissed from the case. An appeal has been entered.
