SCARCITY OF ANGLICAN CLERGYMEN.
Londw, April 28. ' Archbishop Clarke, of Melbourne, delivered at Ureat St. Marys' Church, I.Cambridge, a stirring appeal to undergraduates. He emphasised the Church's need of men both at Home and in Australia. He spoke of the hopefulness and power of her work in those distant new communities of English - speaking people. Per Press Association. Wellington, Wednesday. _ At a Church meeting, the Rev. T. H. Sprott, Anglican, said it was getting well-nigh impossible to get assistant clergy from England, as the Mother Church needed all the men she, could get. We would have to endeavor In future to meet the demands for ourselves. On Friday there will be opened here a Hadflefd Memorial College and Hospital, one of the objects of which will be the training of New Zealand clergymen.
