Mr T. V. tScildon was tendered a complimentary social by the residents »| Kokiri last night, says a Press wire, from Greyinoutit. The gathering was a very large one, and representative of the district.

At St. l'eter's Church, Hamilton, on Tuesday, a very pretty wedding was celebrated, wlieu .Miss Olive Victoria, l-i.vth daughter of Mr. Win. Australia (iraliani, of Hamilton, was joined in matrimony to Campbell kmiach, eldest son of Mr. N*. K. MaciDiariuid, manager of the Bank of New South Wales, New Plymouth. The church was decorated with flowers, a tribute from the girl friend" of the bride. The service was fully choral, The Rev. IS. C. W. Radeliffe officiated, before a crowded congregation. The bride was attired in a gown nf ivory chiffon taffeta, with bodice of handsomely-trimmed and embroidered chiffon and veil and real orange blossoms. She curried a bouquet of chryßUnthcnnuns, dahlias, and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Ruby Graham, wearing a costume of soft Burgundy silk, and a boucpiet of autumn tiuts. ' Mr. A. Ma:Diarniid, brother oi the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony the guests, to the number of sixty, were entertained at breakfast at the residence of the bride's parents, where the usual toasts were honored.. The breakfast Over, the happy couple left for their honeymoon, which ■ is to be spent at Auckland aad Rotorua.
