ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
0 Per Press Association. ! Auckland, Last Night. Two miners named Henry Shanby and Edward Quigg, who received injuries as the result of a coal slip in one of the Mercer mines this afternoon, were admitted to hospital to-night. Shanby is in a very critical condition. Christchurch, Last Night. A middle-aged man named William A. Lewis, a railway laborer ITving at Sydenham, died to-night from the effects of prussic acid, supposed to have beeii i taken by him this morning.
