INDIAN FRONTIER TROUBLE.
AFGHAN RAIDERS. Calcutta, April 22. During the recent expedition against the Zakka lvliels, Afghan Mullahs induced the Mohaiwls to raise a force to assist the Zakka Kiwis' force. Tlieyi arrived too lute, but, being highly excited, begun raiding on the Peshawar border. The Ameer of Arghanistan is likely to recall the tribesmen whom his officials allowed to cross the Kabul river to join the Moliands.
SYSTEMATIC NATIVE PREPARATION MULLAHS INCITING THE AFGHANS. Received April 23, 11.45 p.m. London, April 23. The Times' Simla correspondent reports that contingents from Afghanistan ■steadily added to the tribal gathering on the Mohmand frontier, and organised a system of supply of food and ammunition. The operation indicates arrangements in the background different to the usual crude tribal system. Fanatical preachers are active across' the Afghan border. The Ameer's officials are not making the .slightest effort to check the mullahs. General Willcocks remains strictly on the defensive..
